Character Design: OJIBWE DREAM CATCHER

OJIBWE DREAM CATCHER
Character Design
This character design is inspired by the Native American Ojibwe (Spider Woman) dream catcher legend.

Ojibwe: inanimate form of the word for spider.

In addition, I was inspired by dancers, especially their form and physicality. I combined both concepts into the character and her background.

The character is a mixture between a human and a spider form. Her hair is intertwined within the spider webs and the hoop. Also, the background is an abandoned circus that “Ojibwe” marked as her territory.

Thank you!
